Turkey Burger Sliders

Ingredients:
WHEAT BISCUITS
Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
2 1/4 cups Hungry Jack® Complete Wheat Blends Pancake Mix, plus additional for kneading dough
OR 2 1/4 cups Hungry Jack® Complete Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix (Just Add Water)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
OR 3 tablespoons Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
1/2 cup milk, plus additional for brushing tops
Sesame seeds
BARBECUE SAUCE
1/4 cup Hungry Jack® Original Syrup
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
TURKEY BURGER
8 ounces ground turkey
3 tablespoons Hungry Jack® Instant Mashed Potato Flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon water
Leaf lettuce
4 slices Pepper Jack cheese, cut into fourths
8 slices small ripe tomato


Preparation Directions:
1.HEAT oven to 425°F. Coat baking sheet with no-stick cooking spray.
2.STIR pancake mix, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Cut in shortening with a fork until crumbly. Pour in 1/2 cup milk. Stir until blended and dough leaves sides of bowl. Place on surface coated with pancake mix. Knead 30 seconds or until smooth. Pat to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into 8 rounds using a 2 1/4-inch cookie cutter. Place on prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with additional milk. Sprinkle tops with sesame seeds.
3.BAKE 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack. Stir together syrup and barbecue sauce.
4.COMBINE turkey, potato flakes, garlic salt, seasoned salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and water in medium bowl. Form into 8 balls, flattening to make 3-inch diameter patties. Coat large skillet with no-stick cooking spray. Heat on medium-high heat. Brown patties 2 minutes per side or until meat thermometer reads 165°F.
5.SPLIT cooled biscuits. Spread top and bottom with barbecue sauce. Layer cheese, tomato, lettuce, turkey burger and top with bun. Serve immediately, with additional barbecue sauce, if desired.
